Telisha Moore Leigg is a wife, a mother, and an educator. She has taught magazine journalism, English, and Japanese. She received her BA in English from The College of William and Mary, and she received her MFA in creative writing from Warren Wilson College. Leigg has published short stories in The William and Mary Gallery of Writing, Jump!, Primavera, Stickman Review, Crate, Primavera, Wild Violet, and Gulf Stream. She attended the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference in 1999 and received an honorable mention in Glimmer Train’s July 2012 Very Short Fiction contest. She is anthologized in Long Story Short: Flash Fiction by 65 of North Carolina’s Finest Writers. Currently, she is working on a collection of interconnected short stories set in the South that deal with death, loss, secrets, and spirituality, titled The Fire for Lucky Horseshoes. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, furthering her study of Japanese, and spending time with her family.
